After graduating from Sapienza University of Rome in Software Engineering, Marco began his career in the defence and critical infrastructure industries. Specializing in command and control, he furthered his skills in the world of avionics – setting him up for success in his role at General Dynamics Mission Systems–Italy.

After 10 years perfecting his craft in the information and technology sector, he joined us as a Senior Software Engineer in 2018. Nowadays, he is working on exciting projects: software system application, command and control, and much more.

As a recipient of one of the 2022 General Dynamics Mission Systems Engineering Excellence Awards, Marco was recognised in the Program Execution category for designing, developing, and testing a critical software component in support of the BlueSHIELD program. To him, this award means that “all of my hard work and contributions paid off.” He notes that through this experience he recognised the importance of remaining focused “every step of the way.”

And one of his favourite parts about working at General Dynamics Mission Systems–Italy? It’s “the fascinating work – with all the moving parts in what we do, I find that very exhilarating and it keeps me busy.”

Outside the office, Marco enjoys winding down by sailing along the coast of Rome. “I have a small sailboat and I love getting out onto the water; it’s one of my favourite activities.”
